Goodtech delivers everything from complete turn-key waste process water treatment plants to smaller expansions with additional treatment stages for industrial facilities. Each solution is engineered to provide reliable compliance, efficient operation, and predictable performance, from pre-treatment and primary separation to advanced biological processes and final polishing.
Goodtech has delivered more than 40 waste process water treatment plants to Norwegian land-based food industry, including 17 to dairies and 16 to slaughterhouses. Other food industries we have delivered to are greens production, potato processing, fish processing, and fishmeal and -oil factories.
We design each plant around your conditions: load profile and variability, available space, measured emission levels, and discharge requirements. We build on our extensive experience with treating waste process water from food industry. The result is a treatment system that performs reliably in day-to-day production.
For facilities regulated under the EU Industrial Emissions Directive (IED), Goodtech delivers wastewater treatment plants and upgrade stages aligned with Best Available Techniques (BAT) as described in relevant BREF documents (Best Available Techniques Reference documents), supporting permitting requirements and long-term compliance. Where relevant, we also apply BAT principles for industries not covered by the IED. Consulting services are available separately.
Our expertise spans the full treatment chain, combining upstream mechanical separation and conditioning with downstream biological treatment and chemical treatment for reduction of organic load and nutrients. Well-balanced mechanical pre-treatment protects biology, and improves stability and typically reduces risk, energy use, and operating cost also for chemical treatment processes.
We can advise on which treatment processes best suit your plant’s needs.
Goodtech delivers robust waste process water treatment plants and upgrade stages for challenging effluents in the land-based food industry, including dairy and slaughterhouse wastewater and streams from fish by-product hydrolysis. Because we also have hands-on experience with the upstream production processes, we understand the demands of the waste process water system and can suggest upstream measures when suitable.
We work closely with established equipment suppliers for screening, flotation, chemical treatment, dewatering, aeration, and filtration systems, and can as process integrator select and integrate equipment with the best-fit components for your needs. We have experience delivering equipment from suppliers such as Lackeby, AVK, Bürkert, Alfa Laval, Amcon, Flygt, Xylem, Sigma DAF, GEA, Stigebrandt, Polymore, IWAKI, MJK, Siemens, ABB, and Danfoss, among others.

Goodtech provides technical/diagnostic reports, and other advisory services for waste process water treatment in land-based industries. We support clients in improving compliance, operational stability, and overall performance, drawing on expertise across mechanical, chemical and biological treatment, from pre-treatment and primary separation to advanced biological processes and polishing steps.
With more than 40 wastewater treatment plants delivered to Norwegian land-based industry (including 17 dairies and 16 slaughterhouses), we bring strong references and practical experience that translate into actionable, reliable advice. Other food industries we have delivered to are greens production, potato processing, fish processing, and fishmeal and -oil factories.
For facilities covered by the EU Industrial Emissions Directive (IED), we help align wastewater treatment and compliance work with Best Available Techniques (BAT) as described in relevant BREF documents (Best Available Techniques reference documents). This includes support to evaluate applicable BAT Conclusions, define practical improvement measures, and write the report that serves as documentation to local legislators.
Where relevant, we also apply BAT principles for industries not subject to the IED. We also assist in mapping environmental risks for environmental reporting of emissions to water and assist with HAZOP workshops.
We evaluate which treatment concepts and process steps are best suited to your wastewater and operating conditions. Our team supports wastewater sampling and analysis, including development of sampling and analysis plans, data interpretation, and recommendations for improvements, upgrades, or operational changes.
Our competence spans the full treatment chain, from mechanical separation and conditioning to biological and chemical reduction of organic load and nutrients. We focus on how upstream and downstream processes interact, helping reduce operational risk, energy use, and operating cost while improving treatment efficiency and robustness.
Goodtech combines broad wastewater expertise with experience in industrial processes from demanding land-based food industries, including dairies, slaughterhouses and fish by-product hydrolysis. This dual competence gives us a unique position to advise not only on treatment technology, but also on process-side measures that can reduce load, improve wastewater characteristics, and stabilize performance, especially where high organic loads like fats and proteins, and variable production require robust control strategies.
We work closely with established equipment suppliers for screening, flotation, chemical treatment, dewatering, aeration, and filtration systems, and can recommend proven technologies based on your needs. As an independent advisor, we are not committed to any single supplier, enabling objective equipment assessments and well-founded specifications. We have experience with equipment from Lackeby, AVK, Bürkert, Alfa Laval, Amcon, Flygt, Xylem, Sigma DAF, GEA, Stigebrandt, Polymore, IWAKI, MJK, Siemens, ABB, and Danfoss, among others.
