Our history
Since our establishment in 1913, we have witnessed significant transformations. Our journey has taken us from relying on horses, carts, and steamboats to embracing electric cars and space shuttles. We have transitioned from an era without computers, telephones and TV to a society that is constantly connected online.
When the brothers Alf Wold-Snilsberg and Thomas Wold established Norsk Elektrisk kabelfabrikk, the business idea was that the future would be electrified, work processes would be automated, and that technology would create a simpler and better everyday life. Little did they know that these thoughts are as alive today as they were then.
Over the course of its history, the company has undergone several strategic transformations. Goodtech initially focused on the production of electrical cables before transitioning to become solely dedicated to environmental technology. However, in the mid-2000s, the company strategically expanded its core business to include automation and industrial technology alongside environmental solutions.
In 2010, the company took a significant step forward by merging with the Swedish company EIAB, allowing it to expand its operations to encompass electrical installation and power projects. In recent years, Goodtech has recognized the need to refine its strategic focus on technology. Consequently, the decision was made to divest the installation business in Sweden.
Goodtech is today one of the Nordic region's leading players in industrial automation, robotization, digitalization and electrification, and assists customers in most industries to achieve and maintain competitive advantages in their processes.
For over a century, Goodtech has been delivering cutting-edge solutions in automation, integration, insight, and electrification. These solutions have never been more relevant than they are today. We collaborate with customers on a global scale, helping them enhance resource efficiency in their work processes, mitigate both physical and digital risks, and reduce their environmental impact at every stage of the production cycle.
